Hometown: Originally from Wayne, PA. Now residing in Lakewood, CO.
Education: B.S. Marketing from Kutztown University of Pennsylvania.
Occupation: Assistant Facility Supervisor - Highlands Ranch Community Association, Recreation Center Northridge.
Discipline: Triathlon / Road
Strengths: I was a competitive swimmer from the age of 7 all the way through College. Swimming is a strength, however, cycling has become another strength of mine. I also have lots of endurance and enjoy hill climbing as well.
Former Team: DFT will be my first!
CAT: 4
Years Racing: 7 Triathlon, first year Road
Objectives: To learn as much as I can about cycling and see what I am capable of doing with the sport.
Favorite Race: I really enjoyed racing my first Ironman - Ironman Florida (2003). I had a perfect race and nailed all of my goals in each discipline.
Admirable Athlete: I think any athlete that is able to overcome adversity wether it be a disability, a challenge in life or someone just trying to come back from an injury is admirable. How these athletes overcome their obstacles always seems to amaze me!
Unique Info: I am coming from a Triathlon background and have raced 2 Ironmans, 3 70.3s and a bunch of Sprint and Olympic distance races. My 2010 goals are to finish my third Ironman - Ironman Lake Placid, break into the world of cycling and get a slot to race the Leadville Trail 100.
Most Embarrassing Race or Training Moment: Hmm couldn’t really think of anything that good except when I was racing Ironman Florida. I had to pee really badly when I was on the bike. I didn’t want to wait in the port-a-potty line so I decided with 10 miles to go I would just stand up on my bike and let it flow! Let’s just say I threw out those bikes shoes at the end of the race.
