2008 Objectives:  Last year saw my biking improve greatly, so this year I want to keep that up--  I want to get fast, get used to working myself harder longer and, above all, get over my fear of going downhill.

This year I also have a major running goal.  I thought long and hard about it and, finally, made the decision to train for a marathon.  And, I decided that while I'm at it, I should probably run one as well.

Favorite race/event: Iron Horse Bicycle Classic in Durango, Colorado.  This ride has everything a cyclist can want-- flats, hills, descents, scenery, challenge, and glory.  I won't be around to ride it this year, so someone has to do it for me. . .

Admirable Athlete: Brit-- my sister, who will join this team next year.  Did you know that, Brit?

Unique information or story about you: For all the cycling I've done, I don't have a good photo of me on the bike, so this is best active photo I could find for my bio.   It was taken two years ago when, after I graduated from college, I backpacked all around New Zealand.  Specifically, this one was taken after 14 hours on a trail.  And yes, I was still standing

Most embarassing (race/training) moment:  Attempting my first ride with the Tuesday night crowd in Durango, Colorado.  I have never been left in the dust so quickly.

Results/achievements I am proud of:    Last year I rode in two centuries, and broke 4:00 for the Iron horse classic.
