Objectives:

The last two years my husband and I tried to develop a women’s cycling team on the western slope. We had a couple of great teammates, and really enjoyed the training camps, but when it came to racing and I felt I was racing as an individual. I want to continue to pursue my strengths in all disciplines as well as learn strategies to become a valuable team member. I’m really excited with the opportunity to train and race with a group of elite cyclists. I want to become an asset to the team to contribute support and strategy as well as enhance my own skills.

Favorite race: I always enjoy the Valley of the Sun because it is warm and gets me psyched for the summer of racing.

Admirable Athlete: I admire my husband and I think we make a great team. We first met in WI and he got me into Mountain bike racing. When we moved backed to Colorado, we started road racing. He is always supportive with training and racing and making sure I have everything I need.

Unique information or story about you: I used to be a competitive alpine ski racer. It kept me out of trouble through school and paid my way through my first college degree. I still really enjoy skiing, but thrive more on a great powder day…cycling has filled that void of competition as well as given me a great way to stay in shape and spend time with my husband.

Most embarassing (race) moment:
