Hometown – Eugene, Oregon

Education – BA from Northwest Christian College (Eugene, Oregon), MS in Information Management from the University of Oregon (Eugene, Oregon), and a MBA from Colorado State University (Fort Collins, Colorado).

Occupation – In search of after recently ending a 25-year career in law enforcement. It was time to start a new chapter.

Discipline – Primarily running and road cycling, I swim because one is required to in a triathlonJ .

Strength – Determination

2008 Objectives – Ironman Arizona (November 2008). I am also signed up to participate in two other ½ Ironman races this summer and looking for company if anyone is interested. Troika in Spokane WA, August 3^rd and the Grand Columbian in Grand Coulee WA (they also have a full but I am doing the ½).

Favorite race/event – Search continuing

Unique information or story – I did not begin running or cycling until after high school (played football & baseball in school). I did my first marathon (Portland, Oregon) in 1989 and completed 20-25 marathons since – not to mention hundreds of other road races (5k, 10k, and ½’s). Additionally, I have competed in triathlons, cycling road races, and recently ultra trail runs (50k – The jury is still out on these although I am participating in this year’s Western States 100 as a pacer, fortunately I only have to pace for 40 miles).

Most embarrassing moment – They happen on a daily basis, some are even captured on film, but I will leave that for another time and place.

Achievements I am proud of – Educational accomplishments, qualifying and running the 100^th Boston Marathon (I will not be around for the 200^th running), and being a good dad (Yes, I realize this is somewhat subjective).
