Admirable Athlete: Deena Kastor (after watching her come from way behind to win the Olympic Marathon Trials)
Unique Story: Took up cycling after ACL tear to strengthen knee and never stopped. 2008 will be my 13 consecutive TBP on my way to 20+.
Most Embarrassing moment: During my second TBP, I was drafting off my father-in-law (age 62 at the time) up I70 at a swift speed approaching 7 mph. He slipped on the gravel, went down and I crashed right over the top of him. Neither was injured and bikes were fine, so we finished with severely damaged egos intact.
