Category:
Years Racing/training:
2008 Objectives: To get out there more both swimming and biking. I also have a nine-day hiking tour of the Galapagos Islands planned in June 2008 with several friends.
Favorite race/event:
Admirable Athlete: My brother who participated in quadrathlons for years in New Mexico before being unable to run. Still biking and swimming though.
Unique information or story about you: Grandmother of two little girls, neither of which likes the outdoors. I am an avid hiker and traveler. I completed a segment of the Colorado Trail last summer. Hiked 52 miles in six days high in the Rockies near Leadville. It was probably one of the most strenuous things I have ever done. If you’ve ever hiked the Rockies, you’ll know what I’m talking about!!
Most embarassing (race/training) moment: On a local ride with several “better” bikers, feel over at a stoplight in front of the whole world. Couldn’t get out of my clips quick enough!!
