Education: Bachelors and Masters degrees in Music, C.U. Boulder; Paralegal certificate

Occupation: Judicial Clerk, Jefferson County District Court

Discipline: Road Cycling

Strengths: Trying to figure that out

Category:  What? I’m about to turn 40 and have no idea what I’m doing on a bike. Is there a category for that?

Years Racing/training:  1 year

2008 Objectives:  Get to the top of Lookout Mountain in less than 40 minutes and get down it without crashing.

Favorite race/event: having a beer after a good ride. Shame on me!

Admirable Athlete: Besides Megan?

Unique information or story about you: I used to be a concert violist. I pretty much gave it up after college. Then I tried my hand at internet marketing, traveled all over Europe and worked in Geneva, Switzerland for a bit. Then 9/11 happened so poof, I became a paralegal! After almost 13 years of marriage, I recently got divorced. Getting back on a bike a year ago has helped me get through this difficult time in my life. Now if only I could get a flat stomach!

Most embarassing (race/training) moment: That would have to be the time I was on a 2nd date with this guy and we decided to go on a ride. Boys and girls, I don’t recommend this! Anyways, we’re riding along and I looked back real quick and when I turned around, I was in the WEEDS and GRAVEL!! As I tried to get back on the road (clipped-in mind you, and going 20 mph) an image of this guy (who I didn’t really like) taking me to the emergency room, flashed before my eyes. I wobbled back on the road and managed to stop and he was like "whoah, that was close!" He called me the next day. I didn’t answer and never called him back.

Results/achievements I am proud of: Hey Mom! I got to the top of Lookout Mountain on my BIKE!
