Hometown: Boulder, CO (Originally from Redding, CA)

Education: BS Business Administration with the option in Management Information Systems, California State University Chico

Occupation: Database Developer

Discipline: Road, Mountain

Strengths: Sprinting

Former Teams: Chico State Cycling, Intermountain Color

Category: 4

Years Racing: This will be the 5th Season I’ve participated in. The last time I raced was in 2004

Objectives: To train toward competitive goals, test my mettle, and feel like I really DID something each weekend.

Favorite Race: Parkfield Classic Mountain Bike race in San Luis Obispo

Admirable Athlete: Jon "the cookie" Baker. He is the most dedicated athlete I know and he’s also my husband.

Unique info or story: My old Trek 6000 mountain bike flew off a 50 foot cliff when I crashed during the last moments of a Collegiate XC MTB race. I couldn’t retrieve the bike but ran a mile to the finish (I crossed the line in 4th but was DQ’d for lack a bike). My teammates got the bike by crossing the creek from the other side of the canyon while I was in the ER getting stitches. The bike was unharmed and has been since dubbed Cliff Shot. Cliff is now living out his days as a townie with slick tires and a wicker basket.

Most embarrassing (race) moment: Finally getting up my nerve to join the "naked crit" at Collegiate MTB Nationals just to find myself directly in the headlights of a police cruiser.
