DFT and TREADS proudly present: Thursday Night Cycling College
What is the “college” all about?
The Thursday Night Cycling College is a 5-week “semester” with some cool “professors” who want to help others get everything they can from cycling. Each weekly session features 30-45 minutes of presentation followed by a question and answer period.
When does it start?
Our
next semester will begin in November 2009 -one class will be offered on
the first Thursday of each month from November 2009-March 2010.
Classes begin at 6:30 p.m. and end around 7:30 p.m. All classes are conveniently located at the Lakewood TREADS Outfitters cycling shop.
What are the topics for study?
We’ll
be covering fun subjects like nutrition, strength training, simple bike
maintenance --the things you need to ride stronger, smarter and faster. Plus, when you come to “class” you’ll learn about other opportunities like TREADS spin classes, bike fits and more.
Are the topics geared toward one cycling discipline?
The college will cover topics on cycling that are vital for road, mountain, cross, touring and triathlon! If you do anything with a bicycle, this college is for you.
What does the college cost?
The Thursday Night Cycling College is FREE!! All we ask is that you RSVP for each session by calling Treads.
BONUS: attendees at each class receive 10% off any purchase at TREADS that evening (excluding bikes)! AND DOOR PRIZES WILL BE RAFFLED OFF AS WELL!
